Durian Privacy Policy
기록에이아이 ("we") runs the Durian app and its server. This policy explains what we handle and why.
1. What we keep and why
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google account ID and email address | To keep your account and minutes, and to answer support requests | Until you delete your account |
| When each conversation started, seconds used, minutes added and used | To charge minutes and show your history | Until you delete your account |
| Google Play order ID, product and purchase time (the purchase token only as a one-way hash) | To add a purchase once, handle refunds and keep sales records | Five years after the purchase, separated from your account once it is deleted, as Korean e-commerce law requires |
| A one-way hash of accounts that received free minutes | So deleting and signing up again doesn't renew them | Kept after account deletion |
2. Your voice and conversations
- During a conversation, audio passes through our server to Soniox for transcription and translation. Our server doesn't store it.
- Afterwards, the recording passes through our server to Soniox to tell speakers apart. We delete it and the result at Soniox as soon as the result is back; our server holds the recording in a temporary file only while it's processed.
- To write notes, the transcript passes through our server to Anthropic (Claude).
- The transcript by speaker and the finished notes wait on our server for up to 24 hours, so your phone can pick them up even if its screen was off, and are then deleted. Only you can fetch them.
- Otherwise, recordings, transcripts and notes are saved only on your phone. Deleting a conversation or the app removes them.
- Server logs hold technical details such as durations and errors, never what was said.
3. Service providers and transfers abroad
These companies process data for us, over encrypted connections, when you use the feature they provide.
| Company | Does | Where | What |
|---|---|---|---|
| Soniox, Inc. | Speech recognition and translation | United States | Conversation audio and recordings |
| Anthropic, PBC | Writing notes | United States | Transcripts |
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting our server | United States (AWS us-east-1) | What section 1 lists |
| Google LLC | Sign-in and Google Play payments | United States | Account ID and payment details |
We don't sell or otherwise share personal data.
4. Deleting your data
Settings › Account › Delete account in the app deletes your account, email address, remaining minutes and history right away. Sales records the law requires us to keep are held apart from your account and deleted when that period ends. See how to delete your account.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop its processing. We answer without delay.
6. Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, service keys are stored encrypted in AWS Parameter Store, and only the operator can reach the server.
7. Children
Durian isn't meant for children under 14.
